Equine & Canine therapy

And Movement Rehabilitation

Enhancing Movement, Performance, Wellbeing and Easing Pain

I focus on solutions that improve your horse and dog’s movement, comfort, and overall health — relieving problems, enhancing performance, and addressing dysfunction. I also provide maintenance care for senior horses and dogs, and supportive therapy for those with conformational or ongoing conditions.

What to Expect from a Session

Each equine or canine therapy session is fully tailored to your horse’s or dog’s unique needs. I’ll ask about any medication, work history (for horses), and observe their natural gait and movement. Where appropriate, I may also assess your horse being lunged or ridden. Together, we’ll uncover:

  • What is happening? - Is your horse or dog moving differently — finding some movements harder, showing stiffness or discomfort, or changes in performance or behaviour?

  • Where is it coming from? - I assess the whole body to find the root cause, as the injury and its cause are often in different areas

  • Why? - The cause may stem from past or current training, injury, conditioning, or lifestyle factors that influence your horse’s or dog’s movement, performance and comfort.

How Therapy Benefits your Horse and Dog

  • Prevention of recurrent problems and injuries - Break the cycle of strain, compensations, and discomfort.

  • Prevention, maintenance and competition preparation – Monitor training and development to catch potential issues early.

  • Recovery and rehabilitation plan - Restore movement to optimise function, performance and longevity

Targeted Care, Ongoing Support

After each session, you’ll receive a personalised rehabilitation plan for your horse or dog, with clear, practical guidance to support recovery, prevent future problems, and safely return to normal activities, groundwork, training, and overall well-being.
